When the Stars Weep: 🌍 The Urgency of 1.5° on Climate Emergency Day

Intro:

In the cosmic tapestry of existence, a poignant verse is etched upon the horizon—a whisper that ignites both fear and hope. With every passing moment, the clock ticks closer to a defining juncture in history. As we gather to celebrate Climate Emergency Day on the 22nd, we find ourselves standing on a precipice, where the fate of our planet rests in the balance. This is not merely a call to action; it is a plea from the universe itself to halt the relentless march of global warming and rewrite our cosmic destiny.

Act I: A Symphony of Seconds

The symphony of the cosmos plays on, with each second carrying the weight of eternity. Like grains of stardust slipping through our fingers, time is running out to keep global warming below the critical threshold of 1.5°. Yet, within this melody of urgency, hope flickers like the gentle flame of a distant star.

Act II: The Celestial Alarm

In the vast expanse of the universe, our pale blue dot stands as a testament to life’s resilience. Yet, the celestial alarm blares, and the stars weep for the fragility of our planet. The climate clock ticks, marking each heartbeat of Mother Earth, imploring us to awaken from our slumber and acknowledge the peril we face.

Act III: The Poetic Dance of Choices

Within our grasp lies the power to script an eloquent tale of transformation. Will we summon the courage to be the architects of change, weaving verses of innovation and compassion into the fabric of time? The poetic dance of choices beckons us to rise above indifference, to seize this fleeting moment, and move in harmony with nature’s rhythm.

Act IV: A Clever Convergence

In the convergence of art and science, the stars conspire to reveal a truth both clever and profound. Our actions—like brushstrokes on a cosmic canvas—paint the narrative of our shared destiny. To embrace the challenge of 1.5° is not only a moral imperative but also an opportunity to craft a masterpiece that echoes through the eons.

Act V: Reverence for Earth’s Symphony

Let us revere this exquisite symphony of Earth—a symphony that has been playing for billions of years, orchestrated by the cosmic forces of chance and evolution. The #ClimateClock ticks louder with every heartbeat, and the crescendo of change calls for our collective harmony.

Conclusion:

Fellow travelers of this vast cosmic stage, on this Climate Emergency Day, let us cast away the shackles of complacency and transcend the ordinary. The pursuit of 1.5° is not a distant dream; it is a reality we must seize today. As we gaze upon the stars that have witnessed civilizations rise and fall, let us remember that we are but guests on this celestial dance floor.

This is our moment—together, it’s about time we give a cosmic ‘f&%k’ about the future of our planet. Let us amplify the call to #ActNow, not just for the sake of humanity, but in reverence for the symphony of life itself. For when the stars weep, we must rise, for there are only five years left to embrace our role as cosmic custodians and compose a harmonious ode to Earth’s salvation.

Help Create A Shelter In The Time Of Storm

In times of uncertainty, we all need a safe place to retreat to. A shelter that can withstand the raging storm and provide comfort during the darkest of hours. For some, this shelter is a physical location, while for others it might be a person or a cherished memory. Regardless of where or what it is, our collective need for shelter is universal.

But what about those who don’t have a home to call their own? How do they find shelter in the time of storm? It’s a question that has become more pressing than ever before. The number of children experiencing homelessness is on the rise. It’s a sobering reminder that shelter is not a given for everyone.

As individuals, we can do our part to provide shelter to those in need. There are countless organizations and charities that are dedicated to helping the homeless. By volunteering our time, donating money, or simply spreading awareness, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Shelter is more than just a physical space, it’s a sense of security and comfort that we all deserve. Let’s come together and ensure that everyone has a safe haven to weather the storms of life.

Well, Apart from Providing a Shelter, it goes without saying that you’ll effectively also be creating employment for all the contractors involved in this process.
(So many birds with one stone, huh?)
Top that with the boat load of Dopamine & Oxytocin upstairs, meaning it’s also great for your Mental Health. Wow. 😁

With that said, On the 9th of July 2023, YoungStar Generation in conjunction with Entartainment Royalty & Other Partners will be hosting a FUNDRAISER
at Makimei Children’s Home.

The aim of this Event is to Raise Funds to ensure the completion of the New Block
that will create sufficient space for Organization to continue with their noble initiative of providing a home for homeless children and those in need.

Our Theme Song for this project is ‘Shelter in The Time of Storm’

The Lord’s our Rock, in him we hide,
A shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever ill betide,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A weary land, a weary land,
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land,
A shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night,
A shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes affright,
A shelter in the time of storm.

The raging storms may round us beat,
A shelter in the time of storm;
We’ll never leave our safe retreat,
A shelter in the time of storm.

O Rock Divine, O Refuge dear,
A shelter in the time of storm;
Be thou our helper ever near,
A shelter in the time of storm.

Education is a time-less process of Natural Development; School is a time-limited process of Evaluating Mental Progress.

Knowledge is Fresh; until it gets Stale.
Education is Free; Books are the Point of Sale.
School is Cool; and so is Food. (I wonder how you feed your thoughts).
The Higher you go, the (Kula) Cooler it becomes;
That’s why in Higher Education, all we want is at least One Degree.

It’s hard to prevent Undergraduates,

We chase the Ph Ds, Coz we really don’t want to be Basic.

We Need, what we Earn.
We Fall, then, we Stand.
We Read; But there’s clearly Nothing Between the Lines.
When you talk about the Truth; You might need a few Lies.
If you only had six seconds; You’d probably Just Do it for the Vines.
If yours is mine; then I admit, I may have many mines.

Then there’s YOU: [My Nigga!!]

Police Brutality

#BlackLivesMatter 🇰🇪

Does being a Police Officer make you a Better Human Being?

Does it make you superior to your fellow citizens?

Do you now become Master over the rest of the citizens?

This culture of police brutality started with the colonialists, they used to beat us up, and impose their supposed authority over us, Africans.

Why then are we still upholding these inhumane and animalistic behavior in this day and age, decades after we supposedly got independence.

We have now become our own colonizers and we have lost sight of our own responsibility over ourselves and now we have become even worse than our previous persecuters because the difference is nolonger the colour of our skin but rather the best state of our pockets.

We have become our own downfall, fighting against each other, using the powers in our reach to put others (our own people) down, targeting only our selfish individual desires.The Police are being ‘used’ by those in power leaving the ordinary citizen vulnerable and with no one to defend them.

How long are we gonna lose our youth and innocent members of our society to police brutality?

When are we planning to actually do something about it?

If this cancerous trend continues it will lead to an unwanted revolt that will end up costing us a lot more than is necessary.The Power of the Uniform, is not to subject fellow citizens / Kenyans to corporal punishment, but it should be to Protect and Defend their interests without bias.

We need to stand up and make our voice heard and bring about an end to this menace. Before it gets to a point where we have to go to the streets and burn things down just so that we can be heard.

Whether a person is caught violating curfew guidelines, caught with weed, drugs or any other crime, the police have no right to exact corporal punishment on the suspect.

WE NEED TO STAND FOR OUR RIGHTS

WITHOUT VIOLENCE AND DESTRUCTION

Let’s be BOLD in these attempts to make Real Progress individually and as a Country, Because we not only owe it to ourselves but also to our forefathers and those who fought hard to ensure we have independence to do exactly that.

We cannot take this sitting down.

#EndPoliceBrutality #BlackLivesMatter

Let’s s remind our Leaders what They Signed Up for.

🇰🇪 PEACE!! LOVE!! UNITY!! 🇰🇪

One of our main objectives is to continue to preach the message of hope and to show the younger generation that nothing is impossible and that it is very possible to have a good life without having to engage in criminal activities, drugs or substance abuse.

Also with the rising trends in the number of Anxiety, Depression & Suicide cases, we hope to come up with a formulae that will help reduce the tension and the level of expectation in the society thus allowing everyone to pursue their passions and work accordingly to achieve not only personal but also national and global mankind goals.

And Remember, we’re doing this because it’s still said that we are the leaders of tomorrow, and it’s gonna be upon us to shape our own destiny, so let’s make tomorrow come, NOW!!
